The challenge
Blaine County covers more ground than any other agency in San Andreas, with fewer deputies per square mile. Footage was stored on a shared drive at the Sandy Shores station, and retention depended on how much space was left.
The pilot
Dendrix provided 40 Sentry cameras and Dendrix Evidence at no cost for six months under the Pilot Program§. Deputies were trained in a single afternoon. Footage began moving to Dendrix Evidence the first week.
The vote
In month nine, the Blaine County Board of Supervisors approved a five-year Officer Safety Plan covering 140 deputies. The motion passed 3 to 2. The program was fully deployed by month eleven.
The result
Deputies now dock at shift end and footage is in Dendrix Evidence by the time they reach their vehicles. In areas served by Dendrix Connect, upload begins in the field¶.
“The pilot made the decision easy. By the time the commission voted, the cameras were already on our deputies.”Undersheriff, Blaine County Sheriff’s Office
